Welcome to NC TEACH As the Executive Director of NC TEACH I am thrilled to introduce our new website and to share our program with you. North Carolina Teachers of Excellence for All CHildren (NC TEACH) was developed jointly by the NC State Board of Education and NC Department of Public Instruction and established in 1999. It is administered by the University of North Carolina through the UNC Center for School Leadership Development in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. We offer recent college graduates, mid-career professionals and retirees an opportunity to enter the exciting profession of teaching without having any prior education coursework or teaching experience. NC TEACH is an intensive program offered at 12 universities leading to full teaching licensure in a variety of subject areas. NC TEACH may be completed in a minimum of one year, is cohort based and participants may complete the program taking courses face to face, online or a combination of both. Change your life and the lives of children; become an NC TEACHer! Warm Regards,
Dorothy Mebane, PhD NC TEACH Executive Director |
